Our finished busted video + analysis

This is out finished piece of the first 1:24 seconds of busted;



Looking through and examining this piece of work I there was some problem that i need to take into consideration;

• The continuity was out of proportion throughout the clip, if you look at 0:05 to 0:24 the two girls in the background have swapped around, this must not happen within my music video as it does not show the right picture and may not get the meaning across in the best possible way.
• The lip syncing i found while editing was abit of trouble, that we had to line up the movement of mouth to the clip of the song and I found this hard but just manageable, the reason why it was hard as we only had 2 lessons to rush through this so the clip were not spectated to the full potential that we could of.
• Working in group I found hard, this is why I want to work as an individual because I will find it easy and also there will be less errors for example a certain person is ill on the music video day. I'll find it easier to plan things by own force and also will be more comfortable, i will ask for advice and carry out surveys throughout my own and show evidence with bar charts and analysis the situation. Also I want my music video to be spontaneous and unique not saying that other people do that but I think will progress through and benefit more from working from my own.
• Also if you look at the busted video its the same cast, this is not our fault as we only had two lessons, but this is an example piece of work to look upon towards my project, I can look and say you need the same cast throughout e.g. the main character signing will remain the main character signing etc. But it can work in another way of meaning, that there signing in a classroom and then maybe other people think the same about this teacher, but overall it does not work.
• Also looking from groups if one members messes up in the music video there is big problem and does not match in correct terms of the video e.g. 0:29 - 0:32 its; jumpy and sketchy and doesn't run as fluently.
• Im not going to do a band even though if time and effort were put in it would be good, I want a music video from person to person, as I find will be more successful and better, but this is my opinion yet again.
• Looking at 57 seconds I need to take the background into consideration when i make my music video, I think this is lazy that one person is on there phone in the background, lucky it works in the video but if it was a different setting and genre it might not work at all.
• 1:05 had the busted video on the board which i found really off putting in the music video so when i do my one I need to be certain what I want in the picture / mise en scene.

But overall I think this good to look at it negativly to find the errors that i found out and that it's influenced me to work as an individual and I think I will be more successful, it will be harder to do as the work load will be more greater but I no i'm a hard working student and stick and stay with time keeping due to coursework last year.

And also this gives me a taste that what you need to prepare for in a music video and what is expected and required to make the video successful.
